Houston has been named Best City To Buy a Home by Forbes.com. The city’s $152,500 median home sale price is up 6.6% from 2005. A low vacancy rate, a thriving economy and a bubbling entrepreneurial tech scene put Houston on the top of the list.
Houston #1 City for Recent College Grads
Houston nabbed the number one spot on Forbes.com’s list of Best Cities for Recent College Grads. Starting salaries, cost of living, percent of adult population with college degrees, percent of population in their 20s and expected 2008 job-growth figures were key factors in the study.
Houston Among Best Cities For Young Professionals Its high concentration of the nation’s best geospace engineering firms, energy-related companies, and oceanic exploration companies put Houston in third place in Forbes.com’s list of Best Cities for Young Professionals.
